Direct Support Professionals

Direct Support Professionals
CCNEO seeks full and part time direct support professionals to work with adults who have developmental disabilities. Need a self-initiator who is eager to learn, willing to try new things, and has a true compassion for the people we serve.   
 Applicants MUST have the following:
  • High school diploma or GED Equivalent
  • At least 18 years old
  • Proof of personal vehicle insurance 
  • Clean driving record (no more than 4 points)
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs.
Requirements prior to employment:
  • Background check
  • Drug screen if applicable
  • Physical examination if applicable
  Essential job functions:
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Good use og a computer and the Google Suite systems
  • Ability to drive a 12-passenger van (training provided)
  • Willingness to transport using personal vehicle on an occasional and as needed basis
  • Ability to manage time, work independently and have the ability to be flexible in a fast-changing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Facilitate positive outcomes for clients and participate in the team process 
  • Ability to maintain thorough documentation as needed to meet requirements set forth by local, state and federal agencies
  • Display a professional appearance and attitude
  • Support clients in making choices, accessing the community, socialization, activities of daily living and other supervisor assigned duties. 
  • Ability to use technology in new and innovative ways as a teaching tool and as part of daily work activities (social media, Microsoft Office, Google, etc.)
  • Ensure complete confidentiality with respect to the people served and in compliance with Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, FERPA and HIPAA standards
These positions are available immediately.  General work hours are flexible and can be arranged to meet a diverse schedule. The hourly starting rate for the full-time position is $17.00/hr. (reviewed after 90 days).  Benefits include health, vision, dental and life insurance, 401K plan, paid holidays and PTO after 1 year of continuous employment.
